>TES LA ROK
all the way from helsinki, finland, TES LA ROK aka jani niiranen was one of the first "international" djs/producers to break into the mostly uk and us dubstep scene. after cutting his teeth running finnish drum n' bass raves, niiranen put out his first record with dharma1 (as dice) on moving shadow's audio couture label in 1998. a few years later, it was dharma1 who introduced niiranen to uk garage & broken-beats. fast forward to 2007: following a string of digital and 12" releases as TES LA ROK, niiranen made good with a dubstep anthem. his remix of uncle sam's "round the world girls" was voted "best 12" in the dubstepforum.com 2007 awards and was included on the seminal caspa & rusko fabric 37 mix and soul jazz's steppah's delight comp. the hype led to the start of his own label, noppa recordings and more international acclaim with TES LA ROK tracks appearing on tempa's dubstep allstars, mary-anne hobbs’ evangeline and mixmag's 25 year anniversary mix by laurent garnier. many also credit TES LA ROK for pioneering the elastic midrange wobble that's dominating dubstep, and setting it's sights on pop music, at the present. don't miss the first chicago appearance of this helsinki electronic music pioneer.

>DJ C
Beat producer, party scientist, and remixer of artists from M.I.A. to Gregory Isaacs, DJ C continues to spread his fiercely eclectic gospel of bass-heavy, bounced-up dancefloor-blends across the land. He's been pumping out a series of records on labels around the globe including a remix of M.I.A.'s U.R.A.Q.T. for her Galang 05 single on XL Recordings, as well as singles/remixes for Ninja Tune, Soul Jazz, Man Recordings, Tigerbeat6, Community Library, and his own Mashit imprint; sharing the groves in those slabs of vinyl with the likes of Sinden, Drop The Lime, Ghislain Poirier, The Bug, Kid606, Serj Tankian and many more. Back in Oct. '04 legendary BBC Radio 1 host John Peel chose Mashit as a "label of the month" and featured a DJ C mix of Mashit tracks. Since then his tunes and DJ sets have continued to evolve into ever-more devastating dance-floor monsters.

>PAH JE
one of st.louis's most dedicated dubstep/drum n bass djs makes his smartbar debut.
