abstract science is proud to announce another exciting live
performance by QUADRATIC, this time featuring a specially crafted set
to precede the uk's dubstep cross-over sensation RUSKO @ smartbar. if
the raucous response from the capacity crowd at their last show
opening for DAEDELUS at the empty bottle is any indication, QUADRATIC
should bring the house down."

Last time Rusko brought down the house and absolutely murdered it. Bigger crowd reaction then Caspa, Skream, and Benga... you don't want to miss this, trust. It's gonna be a heavy night. Check latest the latest Rusko mix here: MISHKA presents RUSKO

Rebel Sonix - Free 320 MP3

Rebel Sonix dropped "The Ankle Grinder" tune awhile back, which is available on Juno/Beatport. I know it's been on one of the mixes I put up here, but I'm drawing black to remember the exact one.  It's sick tune that's aptly titled. Anyways,  he dropped me a line... it easier to let him explain is his own words:

"I have a new youtube vid  - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzcND4rCPj4

I am giving the 320 track away to anyone who subscribes to the youtube channel - www.youtube.com/larryrebelsonix
Its also available from rebelsonix.bandcamp.com"

There ya have it... some fresh Dubstep MP3 just in time for the weekend. Enjoy!

HULK - Gamma Bomb

Some strange and funny ass shit has been going on in the dubstep world, Brostep. Apparently some Dubstep Forum members  have been seriously slagging the heavy mid-range dubstep out there, the noisy floor-clearing stuff and called it Brostep... and some jokers founded Brostep Forum. Brostep Forum is a celebration of the heavier side of dubstep, tongue placed firmly in cheek. The forum itself is a hysterical read, even tho the mods are claiming it's a serious forum... like it or not, it's a community rife with silly shit. Anyways so I found this mix on there, in their mix section and even tho everything is sort of a pisstake on the forum, this mix is certainly not. I guess I like Brostep, 'cos I'm feeling this mix. 'sup Bros, pass me a brew! lol. It was bound happen. Well at least it's a better term than Clownstep. And this forum seems like a fun way of embracing the heavy shit, without taking it so seriously. They flipped the script on DSF Haters and are taking "Brostep" back. BROFL.

"Hulk raise the very definition of brodom to new heights. They're like a brogle, soaring to the farthest reaches of the atbrosphere. Seriously. If they didnt hook bro's and bro-ho's up with the sickness when it is most croosh, you'd have been stuck bumpin some bitch-ass shit, with a bunch of bitch-asses, bro."

Well my demo reel is finally done. There's a few things I'd like to change or polish, but I just really needed to get it out there and stop nitpicking at the details. Anyways, you can view it here, or check it on Behance - Feast of Attack Reel
The song is by The Dwarves called "Way Out". Shot list is available upon request.

My Behance page is here: http://www.behance.net/bombora , which also has some of my illustration work and design for the dubstep scene.

Wu-Tang vs. Dubstep

Well it was bound to happen. After the release of the Dubstep LA Mix featuring MC's wide and far from like  Snoop, Xxibit, Eve, Ras Kass, Murs, Dynamite MC  etc, a full length hip-hop/ dubstep Lp was bound to happen. I'm not surprised that it's Wu-tang to do it first, as quite a few core members seem to be entrenched in the LA scene, and dubstep as we know, is pretty massive out there. This is set to drop Nov. 10th and has a pretty solid line-up of dubstep producers that remixed the Wu. Just like the Dubstep LA mix, some tunes felt disjointed to me, and other sounds pretty hot. To quote the product descript at Amazon:" with stomach-pounding, bass-thumping guttural beats, and gully, gritty and grimy lyrics ". HAHAHA. Wow. Sorry, just though that shit was funny when I read it. No disrepect to anyone involved, but that's some big chest thumping right there. When all is said and done it's very Wu sounding all the way thru, and doesn't feel like much of a compromise on anyones part, and I suppose that is a difference from the slightly more commercial sounding Dubstep LA Mix, where some tunes felt a little forced.  Anyways, here's the track list, head over to Amazon and check it for yourself... and weigh in with a comment below... do you think that Dubstep and hip-hop are a match made in heaven, or is this all a flash-in-the-pan fad?

6. Biochemical Equation (Datsik & Excision Remix) - this was the same beat on I Got That Dy Lan on the Dubstep LA Mix w/Alexander Spit...
