Rebel Sonix- Mutate Britain - December 2009

I don't know if I agree with the message here, Vodka certainly isn't that evil, but this tune is a filth bath. Nice time glitchy video of 'One Foot In The Grove' exhibition. Stop motion perhaps?

>TES LA ROK
all the way from helsinki, finland, TES LA ROK aka jani niiranen was one of the first "international" djs/producers to break into the mostly uk and us dubstep scene. after cutting his teeth running finnish drum n' bass raves, niiranen put out his first record with dharma1 (as dice) on moving shadow's audio couture label in 1998. a few years later, it was dharma1 who introduced niiranen to uk garage & broken-beats. fast forward to 2007: following a string of digital and 12" releases as TES LA ROK, niiranen made good with a dubstep anthem. his remix of uncle sam's "round the world girls" was voted "best 12" in the dubstepforum.com 2007 awards and was included on the seminal caspa & rusko fabric 37 mix and soul jazz's steppah's delight comp. the hype led to the start of his own label, noppa recordings and more international acclaim with TES LA ROK tracks appearing on tempa's dubstep allstars, mary-anne hobbs’ evangeline and mixmag's 25 year anniversary mix by laurent garnier. many also credit TES LA ROK for pioneering the elastic midrange wobble that's dominating dubstep, and setting it's sights on pop music, at the present. don't miss the first chicago appearance of this helsinki electronic music pioneer.

>DJ C
Beat producer, party scientist, and remixer of artists from M.I.A. to Gregory Isaacs, DJ C continues to spread his fiercely eclectic gospel of bass-heavy, bounced-up dancefloor-blends across the land. He's been pumping out a series of records on labels around the globe including a remix of M.I.A.'s U.R.A.Q.T. for her Galang 05 single on XL Recordings, as well as singles/remixes for Ninja Tune, Soul Jazz, Man Recordings, Tigerbeat6, Community Library, and his own Mashit imprint; sharing the groves in those slabs of vinyl with the likes of Sinden, Drop The Lime, Ghislain Poirier, The Bug, Kid606, Serj Tankian and many more. Back in Oct. '04 legendary BBC Radio 1 host John Peel chose Mashit as a "label of the month" and featured a DJ C mix of Mashit tracks. Since then his tunes and DJ sets have continued to evolve into ever-more devastating dance-floor monsters.

>PAH JE
one of st.louis's most dedicated dubstep/drum n bass djs makes his smartbar debut.

10 yr. old Drum N Bass artist Magik

Man, make them younger and younger these days. This kid is 10 and is making some decent beats, with the help of his dad, the producer known as TIME. The tunes reflects his age, but that's part of the charm I guess. My faves thus far are "Interceptor" (reminds me of Decoder), "Fire", "Attack Run" and "Future Predator", but check it of for yourself: http://www.myspace.com/magibass

Dubstep Quotes Twitter

Dubstep Quotes....Some hilarious ass shit. Someone put together a twiiter feed of people describing filthy dubstep tunes...

Some faves:

"Makes me wanna slice off my face and feed it to the seagulls."

"When guys take girls home and try to set a 'mood' they put on some Marvin Gaye. This is what robots would put on to pull filth!"

"this is the sound that comes out of Eva Longoria's asshole when she lets one go...just beautiful i say"

Bare Noize – Dirty Nappy Mix 2010

Time for some lazy re-blogging today. I got this off the Squitty Bubbler blog, easily one of the best sources for obscure filthy dubstep around.

To quote him from the Squitty Bubbler interview Bare Noize describes the mix as " For us its about new ideas and playing music that makes you screw up your face and go ‘ERRRRRRRRR’ Basically just an hour of BANG!"

All the crunch, glitch, and blap that you could possibly want.
