Firing new grime-electro rocker from WileyGrime Wave [Explicit] and Chew Fu. The video is a bit much, not sure what's up with them girls. The one is looking quite tranny and keeps on giving a gas face. Video aside, I can't deny the rawness of this track. A simple aggro anthem, enough to wake me from my C'thulu slumber and post up again. Chew Fu on the buttons scrawls his signature hip-hop electro fusion with with dirty synths and crunchy beats. Get on it.

Only thing I can say is what the fuck? Really goofy shit right here. It's kinda funny and kinda sad all at the same time. But then take a listen to Fletcher, it's straight murder and very similar to Next Hype.



SO what I'm saying is we need a remix mash-up: Tempa-T Work-Out vs Flecther. Grime world and dubstep producers hop to it! The challenge is clear.

Thug Tetris. That's the best way to describe with one really. It's got one of the whiny distorted organ basslines, some thug sample, hells bells, squee gated synths, and other tweaked out elements. Even with all that going on this tune is rather repetitive and simplistic, and could really benefit from a proper MC flow to flesh out into a full bore anthem. I haven't heard the original so so knows, maybe it's a epic tune already and this is the deconstruction. It's really good, just begging for something more to happen with it.

ill.Gates & Ana Sia - Gene Splice Free Download

Well I may be opening up pandora's box by covering Glitch Hop in this blog, but since I've sort of covered it in the past with Juakali, and Bassnectar... doesn't seem much point in avoiding it.

This one by ill.Gates has kind of an asian string melody clashing up against a transformer bassline. Panning robot noises and video games sounds, play up the glitch angle with a finely chopped stuttering breakdown... however it mostly rolls out and doesn't get too crazy with the cuts and clicks. There's some finesse and restraint used that adds a bit of sophistication to track. The whimsical character of some the riffs work as a counterpoint to that hard grinding robo-bass, giving it the added interest to stand up to multiple plays. A little bit of sweet-n-sour action if you will (sorry, thats a terrible metaphor). As far as the [adult swim] line-up I can see this in the Afro-Samarai credit roll, no problem.

Distance ft. Alys - Falling Video

This Distance tune has been pretty rinsed at this point, and usually that's when a video will pop and make sense, so chances are most of you have heard this one in a bunch of top players sets and already have your opinion about the tune. I like it, it's moody, got a nice buzzing bass and a pop vocal line from Alys. A pretty straight forward tune. The video is no different really, just a slo-motion breaker, with some clever edits and speed ramps. It's standard, tastefully done, but could have been pushed much further. I'm glad cliched paint drips, water splashes, dust impacts didn't make there way into this, but nothing really transcends the literal here either. This could benefit from a good twist and a slight break from the typical dance video tropes. But hell, I'm happy for Distance, the man is a don, and has been making stonkers and hard tunes for ages. Good for him getting a video out there.

Love it, it's an old school Facs, Bkey and Dylan mix. It's all the old minimal tech-step, dark amen rollers, filled with mentasms, reece basslines, and robotic stabs. I've been rinsing the fuck out of this one lately, so maybe you'll enjoy the throwback too.

Oh my days, all dubplate special set Hatcha and Coki. You are nuts if you miss this! The mix starts off a bit on the hectic side but it doesn't take long to find it's groove. Lots of heavy hitters that you've may have heard before and some brand spanking new artillery. The new Benga and Coki one is banger. Not epic like Night, but in the same ball park, on the grindier side. ANd man I forget how rad Skream's Christmas Day tunes are. It's ridiculous how good of a producer that man is. Be warned though, the Dismantle tune pretty much throws the mix off track at the end. That shit is stupid crack house bonkers. Just the most hype ridiculous thing that 15 year old kids bounce off the wall to. But overall an amazingly heavy mix with plenty of ripe dubs.
